Potty Training?

I don't know if I can say that I'm training Penélope to use the toilet instead of diapers.

A few days ago...

After breakfast she played for a bit and then came looking for me exclaiming, ''Cocô! Cocô!'' I looked at her and her PJs had an unusual shape at the ankle. Yes, dare I confirm what you may be thinking: Poop.

Later in the day: Pee in on the car seat.

Later later in the day: Pee on the highchair.

Today, however, Gabriella was over. She came and found me telling me that Penélope had to pee. Gabriella had already put the little toilet seat in place, the stool next to the toilet and helped the Little Miss onto the seat! The Little Miss, however, did not want me around. She said, ''Mom, go sala, go sala, Mom!"

I'm pleased to announce that she did go number one and number two where they belong.

Conclusion: I've done squat to train. Gabriella needs to move in.

The Machine

I LOVED doing this with Daddy when I was little! I was convinced there was no cooler dad around. I would tell my friends about it and couldn't wait for them to try the Machine. I was so proud that he was my dad...

A Day At Centennial Lakes

Mama and I had a special day at Centennial Lakes. I wore my cousin Emily's white dress that she wore as a flower girl at my Tio Michael and Tia Cari's wedding. Mama says she looked just as beautiful as me! Notice how adorable my sandals are! My Tia Patricia gave them to me, one of a kind, handmade, artisan, leather sandals. Am I cool or what? We walked around the whole lake then had a special lunch together, fries and chicken nuggets! Mama doesn't like me to tell everyone that because she says that it isn't healthy, so we'll keep it a secret, ok?

Natie and Me

I spent the afternoon at Natie's house. (I call him, "Nachee") Look what fun we had...

Are we cool or what?!

Then Natie spent an evening at my house!

Do we look like cousins or what?

Three Little KT Tunstall Fans

Running in the Park

A Day At the Park

This is my most favoritest thing to do, SWING!!! And swing, and swing, and swing... Often when Mamae and Papai take me to the park, nothing can convince me to play with anything else. When I see a swing from afar I usually squeal with delight as I say, "Wee, wee! Parque, Parque!"

This is my next favorite thing to play with at the park. One day out of the blue, I asked my mom to take me on the "see-saw," even though she had never called it that. I just thought that name seemed right for it.

Mamae's Note: These pictures are from a few weeks ago. Today at the park, however, Penelope suddenly decided to venture off into the world of slides. She walked over to the slides very confidently and climbed the stairs while "counting" the alphabet, "O" "E" "B" "A" (she doesn't quite know the difference between numbers and letter just yet) She proceeded to go down a big slide all by herself (which she had never done, given her very cautious personality.) She seemed to enjoy it quite a lot even though she would almost tumble over herself every time given the steepness of the slide. Her mama was proud.
